The 3M full face mask model 6800 (size M) is very simple and comfortable to use. The polycarbonate lens of this 3M model 6800 mask offers a wide field of view and is scratch- and impact-resistant. The edges of the soft elastomer facepiece reduce pressure on the face. The facepiece is connected to a four-point headband system that distributes pressure evenly. The dual 3M bayonet connection allows this type 6800 mask to be used with all 3M gas, vapor, dust, and combination filters from the 6000 series. The filters are tightened on both sides of the 3M 6800 mask to maintain optimal balance and not obstruct the field of view. Between the filters are the speaking diaphragm and the 3M Cool Flow exhalation valve, which prevents heat buildup inside the mask
