- For high-quality hearing protection against medium to high noise levels, use 3M™ PELTOR™ X5 Earmuffs. 3M PELTOR X5 Earmuffs are color-coded black, allowing you to easily select the correct protection level from the X-series. Our earmuffs combine 3M’s legendary knowledge of hearing protection with advanced technology. They feature special foam in the ear cups and cushions with an innovative design of spacers and shells. The 3M Peltor X-series X5 Earmuff is the highest-attenuating earmuff in the PELTOR range and reduces noise by up to 37 dB. The technology applied in the design ensures that the earmuff remains lightweight despite the larger ear cups, offering excellent balance and comfort. The headband model features an electrically insulated, Double headband that helps reduce heat buildup on the head. The stainless steel wire, coated with plastic, makes the headband the most robust 3M has to offer. The headband is both strong and comfortable because the flat, wide headband features a soft plastic coating that provides stable pressure on the top of the head. No exposed metal means the product is 'dielectric' and offers electrical resistance for applications with a risk of sparks or charge. Carefully molded sliders ensure the earmuffs can be easily adjusted to the head. The wide, soft foam ear cushions ensure workers remain comfortable, while the flat shells offer better compatibility with other safety equipment. To offer a product that meets task requirements or user preferences, the helmet-mounted version is available as P5 with the same non-conductive properties as the headband model. For applications that do not require electrical insulation, the P3 model with helmet-mounted neckband is available. The foam cushions and inserts are available as hygiene kits, are easy to replace if they become worn or damaged, extending the product's lifespan.
