Features

- The characteristic wood structure is brought out by the brushing.
- The brushes primarily remove the softer wood from the more recent annual rings and leave the harder wood from the older annual rings relatively intact.
- The wood is thus artificially aged, as it were, because the mechanical treatment significantly accelerates the natural weathering effect.
- This effect can be further enhanced by a subsequent surface treatment, e.g. with wax stain.
- Brushed wooden surfaces are used, among other things, in the manufacture of rustic furniture, the furnishing of rustic cafés and restaurants (wall and ceiling cladding), or for beams.
