- A very important feature of these screws is that they are extra strong and flexible at the same time. This minimizes the risk of the screw head breaking off during screwing.
- The extra-small screw head without milling ribs ensures that the zinc coating of the fitting or hinge is not damaged during screwing.
- The screw is available in two sizes;
- the 4.0x40 fitting screws have a head diameter of Ø 7.0mm and fit perfectly into the screw holes of tilt-and-turn fittings and strike plates, making them real bestsellers in the carpentry industry.
- The 4.5x40 fitting screws, with a head diameter of Ø 8.0 mm, fit exactly into the screw holes of door hinges and, due to their thicker diameter, are an ideal problem solver when reinstalling hinges in old screw holes.
- The lower head shape of the fitting screw ensures a nice flush finish in the screw holes of the fitting.
- The special drill point with cross-sections pre-drills well and prevents splitting of the wood, thereby ensuring a high pull-out value of the screw
- These fitting screws are therefore allowed to bear the SKH-98-08 quality mark for burglary-resistant facade joinery and are thus approved for use in security fittings (Police Quality Mark Safe Living)
- Especially for white or black coated fittings, there are also fitting screws with a white or black head
